New York-listed Dynagas LNG Partners is set to receive up to $345m in new financing that it plans to use to repay existing debt due to mature later this year. The George Procopiou-backed owner of six LNG carriers said in its fourth-quarter earnings release that it had signed a term sheet for the amount with an unnamed leasing major in Asia for the financing of four of its vessels. The deal is subject to the execution of definitive documentation and the satisfaction of customary closing conditions, most likely set to close in the second quarter. Dynagas LNG Partners has about $420.6m debt outstanding under its $675m credit facility. The fresh cash from the lease deal is expected to refinance the old debt maturing in September, together with other sources of liquidity. The company logged a 2023 net profit of $35.9m and a backlog of $1.11bn as of end-March, with all six ships employed on long-term charters with no contractual availability until 2028. googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-1_95_0_1_2'); }); TagsGreece
