Image Credit: MOL MOL Techno-Trade , a marine fuel and trading company of the MOL Group , has completed the first LNG bunkering of an international cruise ship in Hokkaido , Japan . The company, working with Hokkaido Gas , supplied LNG to Luminara , a cruise ship operated by the Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection , at Wakamatsu Pier in the Port of Hakodate on May 16 , the firm said in a recent social media post. The operation was carried out using the truck-to-ship method and marks the first LNG supply to an international cruise vessel in Hokkaido, according to the companies. MOL Techno-Trade said the latest bunkering builds on its previous LNG supply operations in Nagasaki , Beppu and Hakata , expanding its track record in Japan's LNG bunkering market. The company added that it plans to continue expanding its LNG bunkering business.
