FacebookTwitterEmailLinkedin The International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) has warned that disruptions to critical maritime trade routes in the Black Sea and the Strait of Hormuz could place additional pressure on global food security, calling for early international action to restore the flow of agricultural commodities. Speaking at a high-level side event of the United Nations General Assembly on 23 September, ICC Secretary General John W.H. Denton AO said the consequences of disrupted trade routes extend well beyond conflict zones, affecting agricultural producers, consumers and humanitarian agencies worldwide.
