News 12 Jun, 2014 Malaysia - Ban on Bunkering at Private Jetties Club Correspondents, Spica Services Pte Ltd., Singapore have advised that the Malaysian Government has revoked all bunkering permits for private jetties with immediate effect. The ban is one of a number of measures announced by the Malaysian Government to curb fuel smuggling activities that have been found to involve private jetties. Members with vessels proceeding to Malaysian ports and planning to stem bunkers are advised to check, at the earliest opportunity, whether their supplier is still able to provide fuel oil, and if necessary make alternative bunkering arrangements. Members requiring further guidance should contact the Loss Prevention department .
