Norway’s DDW Offshore, a subsidiary of Akastor, has been awarded a six-month extension for an anchor handling tug supply (AHTS) vessel from Petrofac. The extension will keep the contract term for the AHTS Skandi Emerald employed to July 14, 2025. Initially, the contract was awarded to the Skandi Atlantic in September 2022. In the summer of 2023, the vessel was tasked to work on the disconnection of the FPSO Northern Endeavour. In late January this year, a new nine-month extension scheduled the replacement of the Skandi Atlantic with the Skandi Emerald in March 2024. Following this latest contract extension, the total contract backlog for DDW Offshore’s fleet of three vessels now stands at approximately $38m. googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-1_95_0_1_2'); }); TagsUnited Kingdom
