CLARKSONS PLATOU HELLAS – SnP WEEKLY BULLETIN in Weekly Shipbuilding Reports 24/04/2026 This week, tankers received attention across all segments. On the larger sizes, increased interest has been observed in the Suezmax space, while notable appetite for approximately 10–15-year-old Aframaxes and MR2s has also been monitored. The Dry Bulk sector has maintained its healthy trend as well, with modern ECO Ultramaxes being in the forefront, along with notable transactions taking place in the Post-Panamax and Supramax spaces. Meanwhile we observe numerous enquiries for vintage Panamax vessels in the market. Dry Cargo In the Post-Panamax segment, after inviting offers earlier this week, the CORONA BRAVE (ABT 88K DWT, 2006, IMABARI) was acquired by Chinese interests for USD 12.9m. Furthermore, in the Ultramax space, c/o United Marine Egypt have sold 2 x Newbuildings 2027 ex-New Dayang namely the N/B ‘NDY1315/1316’ (ABT 64K DWT, 2027, NEW DAYANG) for an enbloc price in the region of USD 73m to Greek interests. Finally, the Supramax CHAKRAVATI (ABT 55K DWT, 2006, KAWASAKI) was sold at mid-USD 10m, basis surveys promptly due. Tanker In the LR2 space, the Korean-built scrubber-fitted sister vessels STI SLOANE, STI PARK and STI MADISON (ABT 109K DWT, 2014, HD HYUNDAI SAMHO, SCRUBBER) were reported sold enbloc by Scorpio Tankers for the total price of USD 195m with an expected delivery within Q2 2026. Additionally, a 2010 Korean built LR2 was committed, achieving a price of USD 53m. Meanwhile, in the MR segment, the Korean-built trio STI REGINA (ABT 50K DWT, 2014, SPP SACHEON, SCRUBBER), STI AQUA (ABT 50K DWT, 2014, SPP SACHEON, SCRUBBER) and STI OPERA (ABT 50K DWT, 2014, HYUNDAI MIPO, SCRUBBER) are reported sold enbloc for a total of USD 105m, with delivery anticipated within Q2 2026.
