Kontor 17 MPM of Germany is expanding its fleet with a pair of general cargo newbuilds in China. Newbuilding sources report the Hamburg-based outfit has contracted 5,200 dwt units at Jiangsu Dajin Heavy Industry. No price has been divulged for the order. The yard, which has several German owners on its newbuilding project list, is expected to deliver Kontor 17’s duo during the second and fourth quarters of 2026.
