Terminal Marítima Mazatlán (Tmaz), a Hanseatic Global Terminals port, has strengthened its executive leadership team with the appointment of Carlos Alberto Balderas Acosta as Commercial and Business Development Manager and the promotion of Gerardo Monreal to Operations Manager. Balderas holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from Universidad Cristóbal Colón and brings more than 20 years of experience across the public and private sectors. He has developed commercial strategies for the logistics, port, automotive and energy industries throughout his career. Monreal steps into the Operations Manager role after nearly 14 years with Tmaz. He brings extensive experience in operational management and process coordination. The company said his deep understanding of terminal operations will help improve efficiency, ensure operational continuity and strengthen service quality. “These appointments reflect our commitment to further strengthening Tmaz’s leadership in key areas that support business growth,” said the company’s Chief Executive Officer. “We are confident that this new phase will enable us to continue moving forward with greater strength, efficiency, and a clear focus on the needs of our customers and the industry.” Tmaz said the appointments will support the development of its multipurpose terminal operations, drive sustainable growth and improve its ability to respond to challenges across the port and logistics sectors. In 2025, the terminal handled 1.45 million tonnes of cargo. The facility also processed more than 172,000 vehicles and 654,000 tonnes of steel during the year.
