Singapore – Increase of Limits of Liability for Maritime Claims We would inform you that Singapore implemented the Protocol of 1996 to amend the Convention on Limitation of Liability for Maritime Claims, 1976 (LLMC 1996) by the amendment of the Merchant Shipping Act and the increase of limits of liability for maritime claims under the LLMC 1996 will be effective on 29 December 2019.    Please refer to our website ( https://www.piclub.or.jp/en/topics/convention#5 ) for limits of liability under the LLMC 1996.
