Nasdaq-listed Greek boxship owner Euroseas has entered a time charter contract for one of its feeder containerships. Euroseas won a charter for the 2007-built, 1,740 teu EM Spetses for a minimum period of 18 to a maximum period of 20 months at the charterer’s discretion, at a gross daily rate of $18,100. The charter for the feeder will begin in early August 2024, upon the completion of its current charter. According to the company, this charter is expected to contribute about $5.5m of EBITDA for the minimum contracted period. Also, it boosts Euroseas’ 2024 charter coverage to about 94%. This also increases Euroseas’ charter coverage for 2025 to about 44%. “Despite the usual summer slowdown, this fixture is a testament to the firmness of the market, with underlying demand and market fundamentals remaining quite strong,” said Aristides Pittas, CEO of Euroseas. googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-1_95_0_1_2'); }); TagsGreece
