Screengrab from X video posted by US Centcom The U.S. military boarded a commercial tanker in the Arabian Sea on Saturday as part of its naval blockade against Iran, while separately disabling another tanker in the Gulf of Oman after it allegedly ignored repeated warnings, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) said. CENTCOM said U.S. forces carried out a verification boarding of the Comoros-flagged tanker M/T Charminar, which later continued its voyage. The command said the operation was part of efforts to enforce the blockade. The command said the U.S. naval blockade against Iran “remains in full effect.” As of July 25, CENTCOM said U.S. forces had redirected 12 commercial vessels that were trying to breach the blockade. It added that two vessels had been disabled after failing to comply with U.S. demands, while two others had been boarded for verification. CENTCOM also provided details of a separate operation on July 24 involving the Mozambique-flagged tanker M/T Lavine in the Gulf of Oman. The U.S. naval blockade against Iran remains in full effect. The operations took place in the Arabian Sea and the Gulf of Oman, where commercial shipping continues to operate as the U.S. enforces its blockade against Iran. CENTCOM said U.S. forces remain prepared for further operations. “American forces remain highly vigilant, focused, lethal, and ready,” the command said. The announcement follows CENTCOM’s July 24 statement that U.S. forces had carried out a 13th consecutive night of strikes against Iran. According to the
