According to Reuters, on 14 April, within roughly 24–36 hours after the blockade began at 1400 GMT on 13 April, at least eight vessels passed through, including three with Iranian links. However, overall traffic remains far below normal levels (previously over 130 crossings per day). The blockade was announced by U.S. President Donald Trump after failed U.S.–Iran talks in Islamabad.
