Bureau Veritas has upgraded its full-year 2026 guidance after reporting higher revenue, improved profitability and continued progress with its portfolio transformation strategy during the first half of the year. The company posted revenue of €3.26 billion in the first six months of 2026, up 2.1% year-on-year and 5% organically. Organic growth accelerated to 5.5% in the second quarter. Adjusted operating profit increased 3.1% to €506.5 million, while the adjusted operating margin improved to 15.5%, up 15 basis points from a year earlier. Adjusted net profit rose 3.9% to €303.8 million, with adjusted earnings per share increasing to €0.68. However, reported operating profit fell 16% to €430.8 million, while attributable net profit declined 26.2% to €237.9 million, reflecting portfolio-related items and provisions. During the first half, Bureau Veritas announced five acquisitions, adding around €138 million in annualised revenue, and signed an agreement to divest a business representing approximately €450 million in annualised revenue. The transactions form part of the company’s LEAP | 28 strategy to focus on higher-growth and higher-margin activities. The company also continued its planned exit from its Government Services business and certain Oil & Petrochemicals and Coal testing and inspection activities. Strong demand in Mission Critical Assets, Oil & Gas Capex, Metals & Minerals, and Consumer Products Services Tech supported growth during the period. Following the first-half results, Bureau Veritas now expects mid-to-high single-digit organic revenue growth for 2026, compared with its previous forecast of mid-single-digit growth.
