FacebookTwitterEmailLinkedin A fire broke out on a 120-meter-long dry cargo ship anchored in the shipyard area of Evliya Çelebi neighborhood in Tuzla, Istanbul, on Monday, March 28, with cause of the fire not yet determined. According to local news, the blaze started in a materials storage room in the forward lower section of the vessel and quickly spread, engulfing part of the ship. Emergency teams, including firefighters, police, disaster response (AFAD), and medical units, were dispatched to the scene after the incident was reported. Additional firefighting crews from surrounding districts were also sent to assist.
