Saudi Aramco cuts LPG prices by up to 27% for July in General Energy News 03/07/2026 Saudi Arabia’s state oil producer Saudi Aramco (TADAWUL:2222) reduced official selling prices for liquefied petroleum gas for July by 24% to 27%, while Algeria’s Sonatrach lowered prices by 2% to 10% due to increased global supply, traders said on Wednesday. Saudi Aramco’s July official selling prices fell by $180 per metric ton to $580 a ton for propane and by $220 a ton to $600 per ton for butane. Propane and butane are types of LPG with different boiling points. LPG serves primarily as fuel for vehicles, heating and as a feedstock for other petrochemicals. Sonatrach reduced its July propane official selling price by $57 a ton to $518 and for butane by $10 a ton to $600. Saudi Aramco’s official selling prices serve as a reference for contracts to supply LPG from the Middle East to the Asia-Pacific region.
