Singapore’sPacific International Lines (PIL) has ordered five 13,000 teu ships in China. The LNG dual-fuel ships will start delivering from Hudong-Zhonghua from the end of 2026. “These latest orders are part of PIL’s fleet renewal strategy for larger and more eco-friendly vessel types,” said Lars Kastrup, the CEO of PIL. PIL has another eight ships on order in China – four 14,000 teu ships and four 8,200 teu ones – as it steadily regrows its fleet following a sizeable restructuring earlier in the decade. googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-1_95_0_1_2'); }); TagsSingapore
