Danish fund manager Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) and state-run energy firm PetroVietnam have teamed up to accelerate the energy transition in Vietnam. Under a memorandum of understanding, the duo will work together on renewable energy including offshore wind and commit to exchanging knowledge on the energy transition from fossil-based to renewable energy production and consumption. The collaboration covers technology, supply chain, logistics and infrastructure development. This will include support of training programs in new renewable energy technologies such as green hydrogen, green ammonia, battery storage, energy islands, and beyond. Furthermore, the two companies said they would explore opportunities to collaborate on developing specific offshore wind projects in Vietnam.
