A.P. Moller Holding has agreed to acquire 100% of Ocean Yield AS from global investment firm KKR , strengthening its maritime investment portfolio. Headquartered in Oslo, Ocean Yield owns interests in more than 70 modern vessels across multiple shipping segments, including gas carriers, container ships, LNG carriers, crude, product and chemical tankers, and dry bulk vessels. Since acquiring the company in 2021, KKR has supported more than US$3 billion of investments, helping Ocean Yield diversify its fleet and customer base while increasing its long-term contracted revenue backlog to more than US$5 billion. Martin Larsen, CFO of A.P. Moller Holding, said Ocean Yield’s stable cash flow and business model make it a strong complement to the group’s existing maritime portfolio. Ocean Yield CEO Andreas Røde said the company has strengthened its position as a globally diversified maritime leasing platform and is well placed for its next phase of growth under A.P. Moller Holding’s ownership. KKR will remain a strategic partner to Ocean Yield through their joint investment in CapeOmega Gas Transportation AS. The transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals. The post A.P. Moller Holding to acquire Ocean Yield from KKR appeared first on Container News .
