Image Credit: BGN Commodity trading firm BGN has placed orders for two additional dual-fuel very large gas carriers (VLGCs) from HD Hyundai Heavy Industries (HD HHI) . The two vessels, each with a cargo capacity of 93,000 m3 , will be built at HD HHI's shipyard in South Korea , the company said in a statement on its website on June 5 . The two ships are scheduled for delivery by 2029 . The latest order follows BGN's recent contract for four additional dual-fuel VLGCs and will increase the company's owned LPG VLGC fleet to 19 vessels . These vessels will also be capable of transporting ammonia. BGN did not specify the fuels that will power the dual-fuel vessels. While many recently ordered VLGCs transporting LPG have been equipped with LPG dual-fuel engines, the company did not confirm whether that will be the case for these ships.
