American Club Circular No. 11/13 1 MARCH 13, 2013 CIRCULAR NO. 11/13 TO MEMBERS OF THE ASSOCIATION Dear Member: E-LEARNING TOOLS: NEW MODULE ON ENTRY INTO ENCLOSED SPACES: THE CASE OF THE INVISIBLE ASSASSIN Your Managers are pleased to report the release of the second in the Club’s series of e-learning modules on the dangers associated with entry into enclosed spaces. The new module, The Case of the Invisible Assassin, focuses on this hazard in relation to bulk carriers. The first module in the series, released in 2011, The Case of the Silent Assassin, concerned entry into enclosed spaces on tank vessels. There is an insistent need to create awareness of the circumstances which have too often resulted in the death and injury of crew members entering enclosed spaces on board ship. It is your Managers’ aim that both modules will help to reinforce that awareness. The module can be accessed as follows: A) For Members who were earlier issued with this link: https://secure.idessonline.com/americanclub/facility/ 1. Select "The Case of the Invisible Assassin" from the list of the programs. 2. Login to "Administration/Training Records" as Super Administrator. 3. Click the "CHANGE REQUEST" tab. 4. Search for the User that you wish to enroll in the corresponding module. 5. Click the "Enroll" link. 6. Tick "The Case of the Invisible Assassin" from the list of modules. 7. Click the "UPDATE" button. B) For newly registered Members in this link: https://secure.idessonline.com/americanclub/elearning/ (This is the site with the interface to the plug and play option) 1. Login as Super Administrator. 2. Search for the name of the User that you wish to enroll in the "The Case of the Invisible Assassin" module. 3. Click the [ENROLLMENT] link. 4. Tick "The Case of the Invisible Assassin" from the list of modules. 5. Click the "UPDATE ENROLLMENT" button.
