Offshore drilling contractor Vantage Drilling has announced that the conditional letter of award for the 2010-built drillship Platinum Explorer has been extended. The 90-day conditional letter of award from an undisclosed client was awarded on April 23 this year. It has now been extended by a further 30 days and is set to expire on August 23. The company stated at the time that the contract value is approximately $80m, with an anticipated duration of 260 days to complete the campaign, inclusive of mobilisation time, paid-for contract preparation time, and demobilisation time. The award of the contract is subject to the terms and conditions agreed upon between the client and the company, and the client obtaining all necessary approvals. The letter of award will remain in effect until either the execution of the contract or the expiration of the validity period. googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-1_95_0_1_2'); }); TagsUnited Arab Emirates
