Thai dry bulk owner Precious Shipping has acquired a handysize vessel from Ratu Shipping for $18.6m. The company’s Singapore subsidiary, Precious Marigold, inked a deal for the acquisition of the 2015-built Western Panama. The 39,260 dwt vessel will join Precious between July 1 and August 31, 2024. The ship will be converted to the Singapore flag upon delivery. The vessel acquisition will be funded from internal cash reserves and/or debt financing from credit facilities.
