Image Credit: MISC Malaysian shipping firm MISC has added two new LNG carriers, Seri Dian and Seri Dayang , under charter to the energy firm ExxonMobil unit. The 174,000 m3 vessels were built by the South Korean shipbuilder Hanwha Ocean , MISC said in a statement on its website on Monday . They will operate under long-term charter agreements with SeaRiver Maritime , a unit of ExxonMobil. MISC said the ships are fitted with energy-saving technologies, including the Intelligent Control by Exhaust Recycling (ICER) system and enhanced cargo containment systems designed to reduce boil-off rates. The addition of Seri Dian and Seri Dayang brings MISC’s LNG fleet to 32 vessels . “The naming of Seri Dian and Seri Dayang marks another important step forward in how we are Delivering Progress at MISC driven by disciplined growth and operational excellence in delivering energy safely, reliably and efficiently,” Zahid Osman , President & Group CEO of MISC, said.
