The Ukrainian Danube Shipping Company (UDP) has put its entire deepsea fleet up for auction as part of strategic restructuring. State-run UDP said the decision was made as it wants to focus on modernising its river fleet. The six small dry bulk ships will be auctioned in a single lot on December 13. Two vessels – the Vilkovo and Izmail – are ready to start work straight away. However, the other four ships – Tatarbunar, Viana do Castelo, Kiliya, and Reni – have been inactive for years.
