Supertanker specialist DHT Holdings has struck a deal to sell two of its three oldest VLCCs, continuing a steady refresh of its fleet as asset values remain firm. The New York-listed owner is shipping out the 2007-built DHT China and DHT Europe for a combined price of $101.6m. Both vessels were built at Hyundai and rank among the oldest ships in DHT’s fleet of 26 VLCCs on a fully delivered basis. The ships are scheduled to be handed over to their new owner during the first quarter of 2026. After repaying about $5.6m in outstanding debt attached to the vessels, DHT expects the transaction to generate roughly $95m in net cash proceeds. The company also said it will book gains of $30.4m on the sale of DHT China and $29.7m on DHT Europe. The move follows earlier disposals this year, when DHT sold the 2011-built DHT Lotus and DHT Peony, both constructed in China, for a combined $103m. Those sales left the company with an all-Korean-built VLCC fleet.
