Oslo-listed seismic data specialist TGS has won an extension of a contract for the provision of reservoir monitoring and source services related to permanent reservoir monitoring and 4D OBN surveys on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. The client was left undisclosed but was described as a “major international energy company”. Both extensions have a nominal five-year duration, until 2030, with options to extend for a further five-year period. “We are very pleased that our client has extended the current contracts for another five-year period, which ensures continuity of our PRM and source business, combined with repeat 4D OBN surveys,” said Kristian Johansen, CEO of TGS. On Monday, TGS revealed it had been chosen to undertake the Pelotas Norte Phase I multi-client 3D survey in the Pelotas Basin off Brazil. The company will use a Ramform Titan-class vessel to undertake the survey.
