According to Ebrahim Azizi, the head of the National Security Commission of the Iranian Parliament, the route would exclude operators linked to the US-led “Project Freedom” initiative and would instead prioritize commercial vessels cooperating with Iran. He also indicated that Iran would charge “necessary fees” for services under the new system.
