Norwegian offshore seismic contractor Shearwater GeoServices has secured more work for TotalEnergies in Angola. The Bergen-based company has won a second ocean bottom node (OBN) survey contract in the country on the southwestern coast of Africa this month following the award for a project at block B32. The new project involves a three-month deepwater OBN survey at B20/11 covering the Golfinho and Cameia fields. Shearwater said it would utilise two of its vessels to carry out the survey; the 2010-built repurposed and upgraded dual ROV-equipped SW Tasman and the 2011-built SW Gallien as source vessel. Commenting on the latest project award, Shearwater CEO Irene Waage Basili, added: “These consecutive projects underline the strength of our long-term strategy and add to the already impressive utilisation of the Shearwater OBN platform.
