Subsea contracting giant TechnipFMC has secured more work from Petrobras for the pre-salt fields offshore Brazil The New York-listed firm has sealed what it describes as a substantial deal for the design, engineering, and manufacture of flexible pipe for water injection and gas lift. “One of our core technologies will once again support Petrobras’s ambitions,” said Jonathan Landes, president of subsea at TechnipFMC, adding that the company will utilise its global manufacturing capabilities to assist with the continued development of pre-salt reserves. Earlier this year, TechnipFMC revealed another contract with the Brazilian state-controlled oil company on the Mero 3 project in Brazil’s pre-salt field worth more than $1bn.
