File Image / Pixabay Global marine fuel supplier Peninsula has launched a new physical supply operation in Mauritania in West Africa . The company has secured a license from Mauritania’s National Hydrocarbons Commission to operate as a physical supplier in the country, it said in a LinkedIn post on Friday . The operation has approval for up to three bunker barges, with Peninsula currently operating two barges capable of supplying fuel oil and LSMGO in line with ISO 8217:2022 specifications. “Further to the recent tender process, Peninsula is the first company to secure a licence to operate physically in the market,” it said. Minerva also announced last week the start of the Mauritania physical supply operation . The company will operate two bunker barges , with supply coming from the company’s hub in Las Palmas .
