CMA CGM will revamp its Far East–East Coast South America network from mid-December, introducing revised rotations for its SEAS 2 and SEAS A services. The changes will expand direct port coverage in Brazil and strengthen connections between Asia and South America. The revised network will also provide connections to Southeast Asia, the Middle East and the Indian Subcontinent. SEAS 2 expands Brazilian coverage The revised SEAS 2 service will begin from Asia with CMA CGM COBALT, departing Tianjin Xingang on 14 December. The new rotation will be: Tianjin – Qingdao – Shanghai – Ningbo – Shekou – Singapore – Rio de Janeiro – Santos – Paranaguá – Itapoá – Itajaí – Santos – Rio de Janeiro – Colombo – Singapore. The service will therefore provide direct calls across northern, central and southern China, alongside five Brazilian ports. In addition, connections with MERCOSUL Line will extend coverage to Brazil’s northeast coast. Singapore and Colombo will provide onward connectivity to Southeast Asia, the Middle East and the Indian Subcontinent. CMA CGM said the service will operate with weekly departures. SEAS A strengthens Plata and reefer connections Meanwhile, the revised SEAS A service will start with CMA CGM XENON from Ningbo on 17 December. Its rotation will be: Ningbo – Shanghai – Shekou – Singapore – Santos – Navegantes – Montevideo – Buenos Aires – Navegantes – Santos – Coega – Singapore. The Coega call remains subject to confirmation of the berthing window. SEAS A will provide direct access to Argentina and Uruguay, while also serving cargo linked to the wider Plata market. In Brazil, the service will make double calls at Santos and Navegantes to support both import and export flows. The revised loop will also strengthen CMA CGM’s reefer network. It will connect refrigerated cargo from the east coast of South America with markets in Africa, the Middle East, the Indian Subcontinent and Asia.
