DuringtheCampaign,1,507PortStateControlinspectionswere conductedon1,353individualvessels,resultingin49detentions. Outoftheseinspections,561werecarriedoutusingtheCIC questionnaireon556individualvessels.Additionally,atotalof10 detentionswererecorded,with4detentionsdirectlylinkedtotheCIC. Theoveralldetentionrate(percentageofalldetentionsperallinspections usingtheCICquestionnaire)was1.8%,andtheCIC-relateddetention ratewas0.7%. TheleastfavorableresponseswereforQuestion1:“Istheseafarer givenaSEAsignedbyboththeseafarerandtheshipownerora representativeoftheshipowner?”with1.07%ofnegativeresponses.The mostpositiveresponseswereforQuestion9:"Ifpaymentsmadetoa seafarerincludedeductions,aretheyinaccordancetotheMLC,2006?" whichwasfoundtobesatisfactorywithnonegativeresponses. Vesselsaged5andoldershowedtheleastfavorableresults,with7 detentionsand1CIC-relateddetentionrecorded. Outofthe561inspectionsconducted,185wereonBulkCarriers(33%) and181wereonGeneralCargo/Multipurposevessels(32%).
