Norwegian offshore vessel owner Solstad Offshore has secured a contract extension for one of its construction support vessels (CSV) from Brazilian major Petrobras. Solstad won a two-year contract extension for the 2006-built Normand Fortress CSV. The contract extension is expected to commence in early July 2026. Under the contract, the vessel will provide accommodation services to support production activities on the Brazilian continental shelf. The gross contract value of the contract extension is approximately $56m. The initial contract between Solstad and Petrobras for the vessel was won in January 2024. The contract start was set for the second quarter of 2024. The vessel is on a bareboat contract from Solstad Maritime to Solstad Offshore, which is the contract holder with Petrobras.
