On 2 February, the PCG reported the recovery of two additional cadavers amid sustained search and rescue operations in waters off Baluk-Baluk Island, Basilan. The bodies were retrieved by BRP Capones (MRRV-4404) in coordination with the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO).
