This collaboration represents another milestone in the long-standing partnership between Hanwha Ocean and BV, combining their expertise to advance cutting-edge LNG carrier technology with a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and structural integrity.Hanwha Ocean's new hull design will be meticulously developed to anticipate and meet future market demand for high-capacity LNG carriers. Through advanced hull optimization and enhanced structural design, the new concept improves performance and maximizes cargo capacity beyond the capabilities of Hanwha Ocean’s existing 174K LNGC design, contributing to optimized capital expenditure and reduced operational expenditure.Under this JDP, the hull design of Hanwha Ocean’s 174K LNGC design will be reviewed in accordance with BV’s requirements and applicable regulations. The project aims to validate structural reliability and support the development of a highly robust and future-ready LNG carrier design.
