Offshore driller Noble Corporation has won an extension for one of its harsh-environment jackup rigs working in the North Sea. Petrogas E&P Netherlands extended the deal for the Noble Resolute jack-up for an additional 60 days, with 40 more optional days, beginning in March 2025. The Noble Resolute is an MSC CJ50 jack-up rig currently employed to plug and abandon and perform drilling operations in the Dutch sector of the North Sea in support of a rig-sharing agreement between TotalEnergies and Petrogas. The data from the company’s fleet status report stated that the rig was now working for TotalEnergies from February 2024 and May 2024 under a $80,000 dayrate. The Noble Resolute will then go back to Petrogas from May to August on a $134,000 dayrate. Under the original deal, TotalEnergies will take the rig back from August 2024 to March 2025 for $95,000 per day. With this new extension, the jack-up will return to Petrogas.
