CMA CGM Group reported strong financial results for the second quarter of 2026, supported by higher shipping volumes, firm freight rates and growth across its logistics, terminals and air cargo businesses. Group revenue increased 19.2% year on year to US$15.7 billion. EBITDA rose 31% to US$3 billion, while the EBITDA margin improved from 17.3% to 19%. Net income attributable to the Group reached US$770 million, up from US$520 million a year earlier. The shipping division remained the main growth driver. CMA CGM transported 6.3 million TEUs during the quarter, a 6% increase year on year. Shipping revenue climbed 22% to US$10 billion, while EBITDA increased to US$2.3 billion. The EBITDA margin improved to 22.7%, supported by higher freight rates and strong demand. The logistics business also expanded. Revenue rose 8.5% to US$5.01 billion, driven by organic growth and acquisitions. However, EBITDA fell 15.4% to US$388 million, with the EBITDA margin declining to 7.8% as freight forwarding and automotive logistics remained under pressure. Revenue from other activities, including terminals and air cargo, increased 47.6% to US$1.48 billion. EBITDA reached US$338 million, up 44.5%, supported by strong terminal performance and recently acquired businesses. During the quarter, CMA CGM launched new shipping services linking Asia, Europe and North America, expanded its presence in West Africa, and introduced the CMA CGM NOTRE DAME, the world’s largest LNG-powered containership sailing under the French flag. The Group also strengthened its logistics business through CEVA Logistics, expanding automotive, contract logistics, air freight and last-mile operations. It also continued investing in terminal infrastructure, including the expansion of the Gemalink Terminal in Vietnam and a strategic transport partnership with the Government of Kenya.
