IAG Cargo reported €570 million in revenue for the first half of 2026, a 9.4% decline from €629 million in the same period last year, as disruption in the Middle East reduced available cargo capacity. Cargo tonne kilometres (CTKs) fell 12.3% year on year. However, yield per cargo tonne kilometre increased 9.8% at constant currency, supported by pricing discipline despite lower volumes. During the first half, IAG Cargo continued preparations for its Global Cargo Joint Business with Qatar Airways Cargo and MASkargo. Operations have already started across 59 markets, with the full network expected to provide access to more than 400 destinations worldwide. The company also expanded its hub handling capabilities. During the period, IAG Cargo became the ground handling agent for Qatar Airways Cargo in Madrid and Dublin, adding to its existing role for MASkargo at London Heathrow. Commercial demand remained strong across key trade lanes, particularly in Asia Pacific and India. Demand also increased for several specialist products. Volumes for Critical, IAG Cargo’s urgent shipment service, more than tripled compared with the first half of 2025. Prioritise recorded 4.1% growth, while Secure, the carrier’s high-value cargo solution, increased 8.1% year on year. Demand also remained strong for Constant Climate, the company’s temperature-controlled service. Higher volumes came from Asia Pacific and vaccination programmes across West Africa. Meanwhile, IAG Cargo expanded its network with new services to Monterrey and St. Louis, its 27th US destination. The company also introduced a dedicated Aircraft on Ground (AOG) service for urgent aviation components. David Shepherd, Chief Executive Officer of IAG Cargo, said the company maintained commercial discipline while continuing to invest in its network, strategic partnerships and customer offering despite ongoing disruption.
