Borchard Lines achieved an average 94% schedule reliability during the first six months of 2026, significantly above the global liner shipping average reported by Sea-Intelligence. The carrier said its vessels maintained a 94% on-time performance between 1 January and 30 June 2026, compared with the 2025 global industry average of around 62%. Despite the strong performance, Borchard Lines noted that operations were affected by several challenges during the period. These included increasing port congestion caused by larger vessels, pilot strikes in Antwerp, severe winter weather, and a four-day delay while one vessel participated in a search and rescue mission. The company also experienced longer-than-expected dry-dock periods due to delays in parts supply and labour availability, resulting in a small number of missed port calls. Borchard Lines said it will continue working to improve schedule reliability in the coming months despite the ongoing operational challenges.
