Cardiff University is researching the important area of seafarers’ health and access to health care. All active seafarers working onboard cruise or cargo-related ships have been invited to take part in either a confidential online questionnaire or an interview. The research findings will result in recommendations relating to the provision of healthcare for seafarers working in the cruise and cargo sectors. Researchers hope that the recommendations will drive improvements in healthcare provision for seafarers.
