Malaysia’s state-owned energy giant PETRONAS, through its wholly-owned subsidiary PETRONAS CCS Ventures, its compatriot shipowner MISC Berhad and Japanese shipping major Mitsui O.S.K Lines (MOL) have signed an agreement to launch a joint venture company for the purpose of developing and owning liquified carbon dioxide (LCO2) carriers.
