Hapag-Lloyd has introduced a new process for submitting dangerous goods documentation for shipments to Korea. Since 1 July 2026, customers have been required to submit all dangerous goods documents through the Booking Amendment Tool available on the carrier’s customer portal. Hapag-Lloyd will no longer accept dangerous goods documentation sent by email or through other communication channels. Customers must use the online tool to submit dangerous goods details, update existing information or change a shipment’s classification from non-dangerous goods to dangerous goods. When submitting a request, customers should select the “Change DG Information” option and upload all relevant supporting documents. Depending on the shipment, these may include: Preliminary or IMO Dangerous Goods forms Safety Data Sheets Tank certificates Customers must also provide a clear description of the requested amendment. According to Hapag-Lloyd, using a single submission channel will reduce documentation errors and support the timely confirmation of dangerous goods updates.
