Hapag-Lloyd has revised its Conosur service, introducing changes to its South American network to improve operational efficiency and customer connectivity. The updated rotation strengthens the carrier’s service offering across the west coast of South America while maintaining links with key export markets in Chile and Peru. The revised service will call Callao, San Antonio, San Vicente, Puerto Montt, Coronel, Callao . The network connects several of Chile’s principal container gateways with Peru’s largest port, supporting the movement of refrigerated cargo, agricultural exports, seafood and manufactured goods. The service also plays an important role in serving regional supply chains along South America’s Pacific coast. Hapag-Lloyd said the revised rotation is intended to enhance schedule reliability while continuing to provide customers with regular sailings between the two countries. Adjustments to regional services remain a common strategy as carriers seek to optimise vessel utilisation and respond to changing cargo demand. South America’s west coast remains an important market for refrigerated exports, particularly fruit, seafood and agricultural products destined for global markets. Reliable feeder and regional services are therefore essential for maintaining efficient connections with international shipping networks.
