Hapag-Lloyd has announced changes to the port rotation of its South America East Coast (SEC) service to improve schedule reliability. Under the revised rotation, Salvador, Brazil, will be removed from the service, while the seasonal call at Montevideo, Uruguay, will end following the conclusion of the citrus export season. The updated SEC rotation will be: New York – Philadelphia – Charleston – Jacksonville – Port Everglades – Santos – Buenos Aires – Rio Grande – Itapoá – Santos – Rio de Janeiro – Pecém – New York. The final scheduled call at Salvador will be made by Maersk Frankfurt on voyage 633N, with an estimated arrival on 27 August 2026. The last seasonal call at Montevideo will be made by Maersk Freeport on voyage 635N, with an estimated arrival on 29 August 2026. According to Hapag-Lloyd, the revised rotation is intended to strengthen schedule reliability on the service connecting the US East Coast with the east coast of South America.
