News 22 Jul, 2019 Navigation in the Straits of Hormuz Further to the advice in our recent news article Attacks on Shipping in the Gulf of Oman , and in light of the incidents in the Straits of Hormuz involving the “Stena Impero” and “Mesdar” on Friday 19th July 2019, Members are directed to the latest Reporting Guidance for vessels transiting the Arabian Gulf (AG), Straits of Hormuz (SoH) and Gulf of Oman (GOO). The British Government has advised all British flagged vessels to stay away from the area “for an interim period”. Information on the new initiative being driven by the United States, known as “Operation Sentinel”, can be found here  Us Central Command Statement Navigation: Operation Of Advisory .
