Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha (K Line) has signed a long-term time charter contract with India’s GAIL for a 174,000 cu m newbuild LNG carrier that will be built at Samsung Heavy Industries and deliver in 2027. K Line has positioned its LNG business as one of its top priority areas for future investment in its latest medium-term business plan, which also seeks out future growth markets in Asia as a target.
