ADVISORIES ARE AVAILABLE AT http://www.pancanal.com FOR ETAS OR DIRECT COMMUNICATION WITH OUR OFFICES, REFER TO NOTICE N-3-2023 Panama Canal Authority Vice Presidency for Operations Advisory To Shipping No. A-20-2025 July 10, 2025 TO: All Shipping Agents, Owners, and Operators SUBJECT: Modifications to the Transit Reservation (Booking) System The Panama Canal Authority (ACP), as part of its ongoing commitment to provide an efficient and reliable service to its customers, has revised some rules within the Transit Reservation (Booking) System. The rule published in the Advisory to Shipping A-16-2025 related to vessels with an awarded booking slot that declare a transit condition to avoid being assigned an HML of “C” will forfeit its booking slot, will only apply to vessels with a booking slot obtained during the second booking period. Additionally, a vessel that requires to be approved a ready time later than the required arrival time after being awarded a booking slot through auction or a Transit in Advance (TIA) slot, and the 48 hours deadline to submit the request has been reached by the time the auction or TIA slot was allocated, the vessel will be allowed to submit the request via email to Planner@pancanal.com no later than one hour from the slot allocation time.
