CMA CGM has announced a revised rotation for its MPS service connecting ports across the Mediterranean and Southern Europe. The new rotation will take effect with the VENTO DI LEVANTE voyage 0XPMHW1MA, which is scheduled to arrive in Setúbal on 2 October. Under the revised setup, Leixões will no longer be included as a direct call on the MPS rotation. Instead, CMA CGM will serve the Portuguese port through weekly feeder connections via Setúbal. Leixões shifts to feeder and rail connections The carrier will use its PGE and PGW services to provide the weekly feeder connections between Setúbal and Leixões. In addition, CMA CGM will offer rail services for cargo moving to and from Leixões. This provides customers with an alternative inland connection through Setúbal. The revised MPS rotation will be: Setúbal – Marseille – Genoa – La Spezia – Piraeus – Beirut – Lattakia – Mersin – Alexandria – Salerno – La Spezia – Genoa – Barcelona – Casablanca – Setúbal. According to CMA CGM, the changes are designed to improve service regularity and reliability while supporting connections with other ports across the Mediterranean. The revised setup also changes the routing options for cargo moving through northern Portugal. Instead of a direct MPS vessel call at Leixões, shipments will connect through Setúbal using feeder or rail services. The post CMA CGM revises MPS rotation appeared first on Container News .
