Air India Cargo has partnered with cargo.one to make its capacity available through digital booking channels for the first time, allowing freight forwarders to search, quote and book shipments in real time. The partnership forms part of Air India’s broader digital transformation strategy. It also aims to expand the airline’s global cargo sales reach while improving the booking experience for customers. Through cargo.one, freight forwarders can now book general cargo shipments of up to 2,500 kg on Air India’s international network. Available routes connect India with major global gateways, including Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Zurich, New York, San Francisco and Tokyo. Air India Cargo serves customers across South Asia and international trade lanes through its cargo hubs in Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru. The agreement comes as Air India continues a major fleet renewal programme, including orders for 600 new aircraft. The airline said the partnership will help bring additional cargo capacity to market while expanding its digital sales capabilities. cargo.one currently provides digital sales technology to 75 airlines. The company said the partnership will improve Air India’s visibility across global freight forwarder workflows and support faster, more efficient cargo bookings. Ramesh Mamidala, Head of Cargo at Air India Cargo, said the partnership will improve digital access to the airline’s cargo network and make booking easier for freight forwarders worldwide. Moritz Claussen, Founder and Co-Chief Executive Officer of cargo.one, said integrating Air India Cargo into digital procurement platforms will help forwarders make faster booking decisions while supporting the airline’s global commercial growth.
