ADVISORIES ARE AVAILABLE AT http://www.pancanal.com FOR ETAS OR DIRECT COMMUNICATION WITH OUR OFFICES, REFER TO NOTICE N-3-2020 Panama Canal Authority Vice Presidency for Operations Advisory to Shipping No. A-05-2022 February 18, 2022 TO : All Shipping Agents, Owners, and Operators SUBJECT : Update to the Maximum Authorized Draft for the Neopanamax Locks Recent rainfall in the Panama Canal watershed during the past few days has allowed the Panama Canal Authority (ACP) to postpone the implementation dates of the first draft reduction in the Neopanamax locks announced in Advisory to Shipping A-02-2022. Based on the present and projected level of Gatun Lake for the following weeks, the maximum authorized draft for vessels transiting the Neopanamax locks will remain at 15.24 m (50.0 feet) TFW until March 8, 2022. Effective March 9, 2022, the maximum authorized draft in the Neopanamax locks will be 15.09 m (49.5 feet) TFW.
